Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

4.0

Okay, my first book of 2017 is read!

In the beginning, I had difficulties getting into the specific style of Mafi. I wasn't used to this kind of storytelling, so I struggled a bit during the first chapters.
After that, I totally got dragged into the story and I just couldn't let go. During the book, we get to know more details, not only about Juliette's life, but also about Adam's and even Kenji's. For me, the fact that these characters are so intriguing, is definitely because of the way Mafi writes. She sorts of crawls under the skin of her characters and in their head, to describe (sometimes in metaphors which are a bit confusing at times) exactly what they feel or think in certain situations.

Anyways, this book and series got me hooked and I'm looking forward to the action about to happen in the next parts!
