I wasn’t a big fan of the constand back and forth: Romance - or not - romance - drama - romance - plot twist - …
I would’ve probably liked the book better with a similar premise but it turning into an actual drama, no happy end.
A lot of details also just feel way to unrealistic to me (which sadly kinda takes me out of the book)- not just the male MC being a green flag but the constant spontaneous change of plans?? unlikely. mosquitoes suddenly being gone after dark. haha
Lastly, I think the depiction of mental illness is fine. But it wasn’t livechanging for me. Emmas Trauma might explain a lot of her actions, but she still doesn’t take responsibility for most of the book, she refuses to acknowledge her problems, she enables her mother, and also hurts the ppl around her. and after 6 months suddenly we’re all fine and happy…
