At times light-hearted, at times dark and serious, Holmes, Marple, and Poe doesn’t quite fit the classic detective novel mold but shines nonetheless. Several overlapping and interwoven cases keep the reader engaged without being too complex for the casual mystery fan to follow. The true highlight of this book is the likability of the titular characters, who will hopefully return for many more adventures in the future.
