I really loved the idea of this book, but I feel like it maybe could’ve been… shorter? Some parts just felt unnecessary. Like the chapters about “night” where there would be 5-10 pages of her describing “waiting” or the eye above her bed. i get that some of those bits are important for the plot, but i also felt like some of them were not. Other than that though, i loved this book in its views and it was super unsettling how close it was to americas reality.
