Until Jude by Briar Prescott

This review contains spoilers if you haven't read Until You yet.
This was heartbreaking and painful but, like all the readers who appreciated Until You (my review here: https://app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/ae978891-9529-4017-aed7-9b23927b46a6), I'll be forever grateful to the author for writing the story from Blake's POV.
I read all the book with a ball of anxiety in my gut because I obviously knew what would happen, it was like an old wound being reopened.
And having Blake's POV actually made things worse because it's so very clear that he had plenty of opportunities to come clean, to tell Jude the truth, but he was so much of a coward to actually do that.
However it was also a wonderful reading because we get to know how hard Blake fell for Jude and how beautiful their relationship was, fragile at first then stronger every day. And even if seeing his internal turmoil and his struggles to confess the truth was gut wrenching, it actually helped to see how much he loved Jude.
About the epilogue, I went and reread the one from Until You too to enjoy both of their sides of Jude's gift and there was something that I didn't noticed back then: thankfully, Jude keeps Sarah at distance and he remains polite to her without letting her really being in her life.
But I was wondering, why on earth Blake says he doesn't know why things didn't work out for them? Sarah ruined Jude's life twice, she's lucky he didn't cut ties for good, what's there to understand?.
And I get that she save Blake's life, so I understand his gratitude; what I don't get is why does Blake still has affection for her, even after knowing all the horrible things she did to the only man he's ever loved?
I guess I'm a worse person than the author, because in my opinion, Sarah didn't deserve a spare thought from Blake either.
