I don't read a lot of romance novels, and usually get my kicks from reading fanfic of my all-time favorite ship. However, shipping couples from a dead TV show only gets you so far, so I started poking around alternatives. Lo and behold, a super star of lesfic novels is actually from Germany, huh. And so I started this novel.

Jae is supposedly the queen of slow burn romance novels, and let me tell you, it was a very slow burn. In fact, it was on the verge of being too slow for me. Quick summary: Grace is a famous actress with rumors that she might be gay, but she isn't. She hires a well-known publicist to aid with the mess, but this publicist is actually lesbian. They slowly fall in love against all odds.

I actually enjoyed the plucky side character Jill more than Grace and Lauren, and so I am definitely going to pick up the novel about Jill. Again, the slow burn is very slow here, but it's very well written, vaguely believable, and the romance bits are very tasteful. I enjoyed it, and will likely dig into more lesfic novels of the same calibre. I am turning sappy in my old age. :P
