Imagine living somewhere that you would sell yourself into trafficking just to escape. It’s hard to believe that such a terrible place could exist.
“If I had known your age I would have never had sex with you” didn’t stop him from continuing to have sex with a child.
The books is heartbreaking. Knowing that she escaped is wonderful, but 1000’s don’t make it out. Many others make it out only to be sold into sex slavery or worse in China.
Thankful Yeonmi was brave enough to tell her story.
