Dark Earth
by Rebecca Stott
Skirts the line between historical fiction and fantasy, and focuses mostly on the sisters relationship to each other despite their differences.
Written in a lyrical and interesting way that is mostly dialog- with not too much plot to develop. I loved the relationship between the women in the Roman ruins and wanted more from them tbh, but I did really like learning more about the unsung dark period after the fall of the Roman Empire in GB.
