Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood

Ali Hazelwood’s stories are honestly best for readers not looking for anything too serious. I’m here for a quick, silly, fun time and this delivered.

Mara is very sweet and understanding while Liam gives her the impression that he can’t stand her. Of course, he’s actually obsessed with her, and she remains totally oblivious until he finally breaks the ice and just goes for it.

Speaking of which, the moment they got together fell flat for me. There was no buildup, and the smut was written a little awkwardly, and not in a “aww, they’re so nervous because they care so much” kind of way.

Overall, this is pretty much a shortened version of the STEMinist novels, but I had a good time nonetheless because Ali Hazelwood is just that storyteller in my eyes! You take her writing for what it is and move on right after.

Audiobook side note: I really enjoyed Emma Wilder’s narration!
