This is definitely my top read of 2025! I loved the internal monologue of the FMC Odessa. It felt so relatable to anyone who is constantly questioning everything. I also loved that she had the qualities of what you would expect of a supporting character vs. the main character. She was very self-doubting and unskilled. She saw herself fading into the background. She goes on such a journey of self-discovery and really begins to formulate opinions for herself. I loved this journey that Odessa and the Guardian are on into discovering those insecurities about themselves and each other. I can’t wait for book two!
