Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben
3.0

While I think there are some problems with plot points (
Spoiler Like, does Maya even love her daughter? She doesn't much seem concerned with her, and honestly, the only reason there is a child involved seems to be so they can set up a nanny cam. Maya writes a letter to her friend and her brother-in-law, but not her daughter to open in the future? Also, she leaves her daughter for FOREVER with a man she suspects/knows is an alcoholic. Sorry, kid...your mom kinda sucks.
), overall, it was a fast and enjoyable read. I don't think there was anything revolutionary in terms of writing--it fits the standard set-up, action, and twist of any mystery novel. If you're looking for mindless, entertaining reading, this book is a great choice.
