Read for March book club. This story has good bones, but there’s too much going on. It’s hard to tell what the book is about. There’s some great writing in here, but also cringe-worthy lines. The ending is unsatisfying, I found myself skimming the last chapter. The protagonist is absurdly unlikable in a way that feels unintentional. It’s hard to care what happens to her. The author has so many threads, but doesn’t weave them together. Disappointed!
