Immortal Longings
by Chloe Gong
I started the physical for this but the blurb had me a little iffy on if I would fully enjoy it, I have much more tolerance for audio so decided to give that a go. I did actually end up really enjoying it, gave me hungry game vibes, kill or be killed. I loved Calla and her badass ways. I loved the relationship her and Anton ended up having. I really hope we get more between Augustus and his bodyguard as they had me really intrigued.
The jumping of bodies did confuse me a little at first because I don’t feel like it was massively explained but I kinda got the gist of it the more I read. I’m not sure if it was because it was the audio and it was all one narrator but at points I did find it hard to tell which characters pov I was in, as there was a few.
The ending had me shook, like i knew something was going to go down but I didn’t expect that and I’m really looking forward to book 2. This was my first Chloe Gong book and I will definitely pick up some more of her work.
