This is a story about idiots. Lovable, wonderful, endearing idiots. But, nonetheless, idiots.

Frederick Backman from my experience with his books has a way of writing characters that makes them feel real, real in sometimes uncomfortable and but wonderful ways. He writes about the human experience with vivid language that could make you cry and laugh at the same time and your brain goes to mush trying to figure out what you should do first. That being crying or laughing.

This story is about the interconnected lives of strangers. Strangers who have nothing to do with each other and everything all at once.

It all started when a bank robber robbed a bank and then held them up as hostages and when a man jumped off a bridge and a girl tried to but couldn’t.
