Fullmetal Alchemist, Vol. 2
by Hiromu Arakawa
Second Read-through: May 2018
This volume definitely progresses the world-building and plot development! We're starting to properly get to know the main villains as well. I love the diverse cast of characters in this series! They definitely keep me consistently entertained. ;3
This story is quite dark and "bloody" at times though, so I could see why some people wouldn't enjoy it as much. I'm usually not one for a lot of violence or gore myself, but I just really like the plot and characters in this series, so I just accept it as a part of the story, I suppose?
Sidenote: I don't know why I used to think it was weird to give manga five stars...? I've, therefore, decided to up my rating (to the full five stars), as this is definitely one of my favourite manga series.
First Read-through: February 2014
I think I enjoyed this one even more than the first volume! :D Still action-packed and super addicting, with some humour on the side.
I feel like I should be giving five stars to these, but for some reason I feel weird about giving manga that high of a star rating. Is that wrong of me?
