Hello does this count as a magical boy book??
Anyway I might've liked this even more than Beholder, I've no idea why it's rated so "low". Vibrant magic, lovable characters, romance, mystery and trust issues, this book has everything. I didn't find it confusing at all and imo the pacing was fine, although yeah, maybe the magic and plot can feel kind of.. vague. But what an interesting backwards building of romance, I've only seen it in a couple of amnesia stories and usually not done this well.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable read that I'll probably want to come back to when I'm feeling disappointed with books in the future.. (I'm already sad I don't have any more Ryan La Sala fantasy stories left to read)
