Reid by Melanie Moreland

5.0

I listened to book #4, Reid, in the Vested series. I think this was my favorite. There was no major danger with the hero or heroine being physically at risk as with some of the previous books.

I liked Reid and Becca. I enjoyed this book because there wasn't a ton of angst. Any drama that occurred was resolved fairly quickly. When people were wrong, or made a mistake, they apologized. I loved the times when Reid and Becca were forced into situations where they had to stand their ground. Becca always chose to stand together. Reid would chose to stand alone on occasion, but his concern was always about what he thought was best for Becca. Friends and lovers were supportive, caring, and loyal. This book was also humorous. All of this was very relaxing, comforting, and appreciated, especially considering our current environment.

I always enjoy Bentley, Aidan, and Maddox. Their signifucant others were not as prominent in this book. I also like Sandy. I think Richard also made a great addition to this series. I found his story is in a book called "The Contract". There was also Van, Olive, and Sandy. Sandy has appeared in every book in the Vested series. Van and Olive were later additions. Let us not forget that this book also has an epilogue.

The stories are entertaining, but I honestly think the narration elevates this books. I wife definitely recommend you take a listen.
