A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
5.0

A classic literary piece by Charles Dickens. A Christmas Carol has become a universal story of redemption through supernatural intervention. At the core of the story is the idea of "second chances" that no matter what you have done or not done you are more than just those decisions. Furthermore, the use of the three spirits shows the past, present, and yet to come repercussions of our decisions. Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge is certainly a strongly disliked character, but one that by the end the reader might feel some compassion for. I had seen the tv shows and plays of this book but never actually read it until now. I am glad that I did. The descriptions of the spirits are certainly something that plays greatly on the imagination. Overall, a classic if I could venture to know one.
