This is an outstanding book! I can't do it justice in a short review. Set on a small island near Newfoundland. The central character Moses Sweetland is the sole inhabitant unwilling to accept a government relocation offer that requires unanimous consent. Hard to say much more without spoiling, but the novel looks at Sweetland's life both before and after the relocation dispute. I started to read in big gulps of pleasure, then set aside just to have more time with this remarkable tale. 5 stars, Highly Recommend!
