I read this after being given a copy of the next book in the series as an ARC.  I had read the first book in the series "The Murder Of Mr. Wickham" where you first get to meet the main characters (Jonathan Darcy and Juliet Tilney), this book is set after the events and centers around the mysterious murder of Mrs. Willoughby.

I'm reminded about a 1 star review of Pride and Prejudice saying that the book was about rich people visiting each other, this starts off because Juliet Tilney visits Marianne Brandon as they had become friends, and Jonathan Darcy was invited to a house party from an old school mate who has just inherited money and a house from his dead aunt,  Mr. John Willoughby, not 3 miles from the Brandons.

I really enjoyed this murder mystery and loved the twists and turns that were taken, expanding on the next generation of Jane's famous characters.

If you enjoy historical mysteries with new and old characters from Jane Austen, I can recommend this series (please read the first one so that you can understand what's going on). This is very much a part of series - and each book builds on the last.
