There are two books on this earth which I love so deeply and will never recommend, because they hurt soooo amazingly. This is now one of them. If you want to pick up this book, especially if you’re Dominican or have family secrets you’ve contended with, have experienced loss, etc. DO IT. But I am not liable for how hard it hurt me. And in fact if it hurt you just as badly, let’s start a class action lawsuit. I am in my feelings, and having a dead father and a Dominican family who rather omit to “protect” got me all messed up.
