The Days of Abandonment
by Elena Ferrante
so many thoughts. so many feelings. undoubtedly one of, if not, the best contemporary work i’ve read. elena ferrante truly has a way with words, ‘the days of abandonment’ is a stunning and poignant page turner. the desperation in the narrators words shifted my mind (and my WIG). the way her anger stretches along with the sentences. all of olga’s thoughts and feelings simply pour out that one struggles to disengage with her consciousness and her awareness. every single raw emotion crushed me. the author was so REAL for this one.
