Happy release day to Daughter of Shadows and Ash! Overall, I would say this was a 3⭐️ for me. I really loved the concept of this book and I thought that the dialogue was really good, especially the love interests scenes with Alora.

I did spend a lot of the time feeling kinda lost. I feel like there was a lot of jumping forward in timelines and I didn’t know it had jumped forward until like halfway through the chapter. 

I really did adore Lor as the FMC. It gives Throne of Glass vibes and Lor is also dark and twisty with the ability to manipulate shadows. 

I really am hoping for some more world building and more foundation for things that are happening in the plot and maybe less big timeline jumps ✨
