Loved this but I was so confused and clueless for like 3/4 of the book. I was frustratingly wondering why Elsy wasn’t active in finding out why that fictional town is there. I was thinking like was there someone pulling the ropes, is she in some kind of simulation. Like why is she going along with it when she knows none of it is real. Until I realised it’s a fantasy/magical-realism genre. I should have known better, considering the consistent themes from the other 2 Ashley Poston’s books I’d read.
Also did we forget about the part where Anders was talking on the phone suspiciously at the graveyard? I don’t think that was explained.
