Born of Ice: The League: Nemesis Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon

4.0

The story of Devyn, Syn and Shahara's son from the previous book, and Alix, a slave on a mission to save her family.

Alix believes that she has no choice but to betray Devyn, even after she gets to know him and realizes he's not nearly as bad as described, and that kind of annoyed me since there's always a choice, even if it involves a certain amount of risk.

The world is dark and mercenary, the characters traumatized and facing hard decisions and mostly likable and the plot is engaging. It was nice seeing familiar characters from the previous books years after their own stories.

Next in the series is [b:Fire and Ice|2789282|Fire and Ice (The League Nemesis Rising #3.5, The League Nemesis Legacy #1)|Sherrilyn Kenyon|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1549166544l/2789282._SY75_.jpg|6328149], a novella about Adron Quiakides whom we briefly met in this book and who piqued my interest.
