"Sometimes, things need to change, because there just isn't any way for them to stay the same."
Where to start, I'm aware that I mentioned this when I updated my progress, but holy shit, it continued and it was the most annoying thing. Whenever someone swore in the book, I was graced with, "I bit out a swear word so loud I saw her start." "I swore softly under my breath and let his words ring in my ear." Get it together and just SWEAR ALREADY! Fuck!
I hated that Cora brushes off being attacked a little to easy for my liking, "Oh Ayden, we were broken into, wait no, what, talking about Jet is way more important than that."Her character is also starting to come across weaker to me, which I hope doesn't continue in her story.
The one thing that irritated me the most is when the author decided that Ayden should break up with Jet right when his studio gets broken into, and he loses everything. I was on the fence about her until this point, that just had me fuming. Who does that? What I got from Ayden from the first book was that she was going to be a smart woman with a backbone, little did I know!
Overall, I just didn't get the connection.. Jet gave up too easy and Ayden was over dramatic. Less grammatical errors in this one though, that was nice.
I really hope I'm not disappointed by Cora and Rome's story, it has the potential to be a good feisty one!
