I really need to stop reading things that I see 1 scene described on TikTok…this book did have potential but just really missed the mark. It was also way too long and basically was the same situation over and over which got very repetitive and boring.
I figured out what the cliffhanger was going to be like 25% of the way into the book so was not even all that shocking. I want to know what happens in the next book but I don’t know if I can stand one more moment of the fmc. She started off ok but then her whole personality was stripped from her and she was always 2 seconds from a breakdown and basically grew 0% over the course of the book. She came across as whiny instead of insecure and this trust she has? Girl where?? She questioned things literally. Every. Second. When she had no reason to think other wise. It was one thing in the beginning but the more she kept going in circles over the same thing it just got tedious.
Not sure if there is enough of a draw for me to read book 2.
