Upon reread this is definitely the strongest of the first two, but the conflict between Casteel and Poppy could so easily be solved if they just talked honestly with each other and that bugged me a bit. SO glad I did a reread before starting TCOGB. Really wrapped up in the lore and history this time around and can’t wait to see that hopefully explored moving forward. Also, if we don’t get the joining in book 3 I’m finding JLA and we’re exchanging words.
Graphic: Violence
Moderate: Sexual assault
