I really wanted to like this book, but I just did not enjoy it. I found Patrick to be annoying most of the book. I had high hopes for some growth, but not much happened. I did enjoy his relationship with the kids though and I think he was the perfect person for them to spend a summer with. I thought this could have simply been written better and more details for Patrick's growth.
