I am sure fans of Shakespeare and theatre will love this book. But for someone like me (who dragged myself through four years of being made to study Shakespeare in school when all I wanted to do was revel in Woolf and the Bronte sisters), I felt my eyes glass over at the verses, the theatre scenes. At least now I know dark academia is not for me. The second half of the book following the key fateful event of the plot was a huge drag for me.
