Seeing by José Saramago
3.0

The first half of the book is really difficult to slog through. In typical Saramago style, he's doing his thing-- focusing on the bureaucratic response to a strange phenomenon that's sweeping the city. But unlike his other books, I just didn't find this part at all funny or interesting. It isn't until the second half when he starts focusing on a single character that it gets really good.
