Sugar Springs by Kim Law
4.0

I discovered this book after trying to read the sequel first and getting lost among characters. This is a cute and fittingly sweet love story. When I first bought it, I didn't expect much from it since I had never read Kim Law and the book was pretty cheap. Although Lee Ann annoyed me at times with her distrust, overprotectiveness, and excessive caution, I can accept it as part of her character. thank GOD she has people (especially her daughters) to talk some sense into her.
the introspection between and within herself and Cody is a lot to handle. I wish Lee Ann was more open-minded. No matter how much she loves Sugar Springs, she limits herself and her dreams to fit the small town status quo. She and Cody are very hard on themselves and people around them but that's what fills the book and makes their love even more special in the end. It's a cute little romance in a cute little town.... even though moving wouldn't have killed her.
