So I know that I can be hit or miss with absurdist humor, and this was a bit of a miss. The set up, with so many characters doing these random things, and lots of random facts on their lives, just kinda of lost me. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some absolutely hilarious lines! But it still felt like drag to get through the first 60-70% of the book.

The last part of the book was engaging though, but still not worth the payoff.

My favorite line - “The gods do not concern themselves with the affairs of lasagne”.
