The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

5.0

Wow! I was really impressed with the ability of Zusak to take an absolutely horrific time and make it humane. Despite the fact that Death is the narrator, this book gave one hope in goodness and life. Zusak created strong and believable characters who grew into kind and caring people, despite the challenging times and situations they lived in. He did this without demeaning the evils of the time. Would highly recommend this as a GOODREAD!
