Abby Cooper: Psychic Eye
by Victoria Laurie
A light-hearted mystery with serious moments, this is the first in a series bout Abigail Cooper, psychic. She's reluctantly pulled into a murder investigation after one of her clients is killed. Leery of the police, she certainly doesn't expect to become attracted to the detective in charge of the investigation.
Fictional books about psychics tend to be too unrealistic, portraying them as either all-knowing or charlatans. I do believe that there are individuals with psychic abilities. But those abilities take many forms, which this series shows very clearly.
I was startled to discover that the author, Victoria Laurie, is a practicing psychic. It does explain how she portrays her main character so very well. I look forward to reading more in this series.
