This has become my favorite Elena Armas novel topping both The American Roomate Experiment and The Spanish Love Deception. I personally believe it is because I just love Cameron Caldani. I love his personality as well as his interactions with other characters. I am also a huge fan of the slow-burn, it makes me even more obsessed once the characters do get together. I also really enjoyed Adalyn Reyes’ character. She grew so much throughout the novel and I truly appreciate it. I wouldn’t go so far to say enemies-to-lovers for this one, I would give it more of a frenemies-to-lovers if anything. For me in any romance novel is would I go back and re-read it? The answer here is a definite yes. If you love slow-burn, tension-filled, and protective yet caring love interests…This is for you. Honestly, this book isn’t for everyone and that’s okay; however, if you love Elena Armas’ writing then this might become your new favorite.
