I'm changing my review because I think this is a really important book and highlights the difficulties and injustices of living in this part of the world. I was so discouraged by realizing that the opportunities and hope the author left the end of the book with were completely squandered. It's heartbreaking. 

Original: The hardest thing about reading this book is realizing nothing has changed.
