Honestly the development of these characters was so good! I loved how Feyre’s trauma was actually continued and her healing process was not rushed. After some of her dumb choices in the first book, it’s refreshing to see her become a stronger character. Tamlin’s descent is sad after ACOTAR, but it’s believable and I liked how you watch Feyre slowly realize he’s not the perfect man she thought him to be. Rhysand is the epitome of misunderstood bad boy trope, but yeah I ate that up. I loved all the new characters in this book, their introductions were very smooth and they eased into the series nicely!
The romance is pretty good, a slow-burn for sure (I was kinda hoping it would hurry up). Everyone hyped it up to be very spicy, but I personally did not think so! Still cannot stand the word “mate”, and each time I hear it I die a little.
The ending of this book was SO GOOD. I tore through the last few chapters! It is good I have the next book ready, because I would hate to wait to find out what happens next.
