An Inconvenient Match by Susanna Malcolm
3.0
Plain, rich spinster buys herself a stud with a title in this anachronistic, frustratingly odd book.
This was definitely like no other historical romance I’ve ever read, the idea was interesting but it entirely lacked romance, historical accuracy and the hero was useless and didn’t show any growth until the very very end.
One particularly frustrating point is that not once did the hero say ‘ I love you’ and yet the writing was good and I couldn’t stop reading so I’ll give it three stars with caveats that the hero was a zero.
