Much like Harrowhark, I too was crying and throwing up through the entirety of this book. I cried so much I may have ran out of tears. I am unable to form any coherent thoughts. All that being said, this book felt like an immediate 5 stars from the very beginning and I am glad that it kept its momentum all the way until the end. I must admit, I was shocked by one particular reveal. Harrow the Ninth made me feel a lot—whether it was anxiety, sadness, grief, joy, I felt it all. I wasn’t expecting to like it more than GtN. Initially, I thought the second person narration would be harder to get into, but it wasn’t. It eventually does make perfect sense. Once again, this was so unique and inventive. Truly loved every second of it. I will be thinking about TLT for a long time.
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Gore, Violence
Moderate: Vomit, Medical trauma, War
Minor: Cannibalism
