The atmosphere of this novel is so well written that I felt like I was an observer in the village of Ardnekalty. The characters are complicated and dynamic. I loved the twists and turns of the plot alongside the growth of the novel’s main characters. It is a sequel to The Searcher, but is a top tier novel on its own. I’ve fallen in love with the cast of characters and hope that Tana French decides to write a third installment about Cal, Trey, Lena and the rest,
