My Dark Prince by L.J. Shen, Parker S. Huntington

Oliver Von Bismarck is an actual dream. I knew, I JUST KNEW that when we got his book he would be my favourite. I’ve been waiting so patiently (or not so patiently really) for his book and holy sheeeet what a book it was!
Under that playboy exterior we all know and love there’s a deeper, meaningful and heartbreaking interior to Oliver, the side that he shares with no one and once we learn what has made Oliver, the Oliver we know and love my heart ached for him over and over again.
Briar Rose hasn’t had it easy growing up, she’s been alone for as long as she can remember with the exception of her best friend, the one constant in her life, the one that makes her heart happy when it’s surrounded by sadness. Growing up the way she did and the heartaches she suffered shaped her into the strong and fierce woman she is today. I instantly became obsessed with her the moment we were introduced to her, that woman deserves all the happiness in the entire world.
I am SO glad that Briar was chosen for Ollie over Frankie, I honestly never at any point could see them together. She’s not the right kind of person for him, he needed someone to ground him the way Briar did. Frankie is messy and wild and would never be able to be what Ollie needs. That being said, I truly would love to see Frankie get her happily ever after.
I don’t want to go to much into the storyline but let me tell you this, it’s beautiful. It’s heartbreaking and a touch dark but absolutely beautiful. We get Ollie’s usual charm and Briar’s fierceness throughout the entire book. I laughed, I cried and fanned myself from how intense these two can get, gah!
We also get to meet Ollie’s brother in this and without giving anything away I’m just going to say I NEED his story and his Happily Ever After. He needs it, he deserves it.
Parker S. Huntington and L.J. Shen are an incredible duo. They smashed this to smithereens, it’s hands down my favourite from the series. I mean, I love them all but none of them will ever be able to hold Ollie’s crown, I loved him so much.
