I loved the writing - once I got used to the author's style, it was easy to immerse myself into the story. The main character - Julia - wasn't very likable, which makes me cringe because I could strongly relate with her (well, with how she thinks, how she perceives people and situations, not her behavior). A great look at motherhood, at childhood trauma, at relationships between moms and daugthers/sons.
