Oops, My Bad by A.C. Pontone

4.0

I normally find urban fantasy or PNR much more my style, but I decided to take a chance on an advanced readers copy; I am glad I did … it was a fun break from my normal fare.

The world is well built, characters are engaging and vivid and the story was realistic. Emily is desperately trying to make ends meet by using a motor scooter to deliver pizzas in the dead of winter in NYC. Lets face it, it was just a matter of time until an accident would occur and good ole’ Murphy's Law tells us it will happen at the worst possible time. As you can well imagine, it does and that one accident was the difference between paying bills or being homeless.

Even worse, the hot guy, Logan who steps out of the sports car not only saves the cat but also mostly ignores her. Despite his near dismissal of her; Emily's only saving grace is that she convinces him to take her home, too. She probably trips his Stray Alert radar …

Logan, for his part, does seem like a strong man, he is relatable and has family problems like everyone else. He also runs a Vet clinic and happens to need a receptionist. Like a lot of people he seems richer than he is but that just makes him very easy to relate to.

It is pure romance, clean and vanilla, it is a great weekend summer read and I giggled a bit. The plot was not an excuse for the romance but showed us how romance might happen.
