I really enjoyed this book as someone with no background in modelling. It is written with plenty of fascinating examples relevant to biology and evolutionary ecology. The way Kokko frames modelling as a tool for understanding and investigating logic, rather than for approximating reality, was paramount for dissolving my initial distrust in modelling.
