3.5, possibly nearing 4, I'm obviously undecided.

This is a love story. Love in every form, in all seasons, between all people, shifting and changing, yet consistent and true. Michael loves Ellis. Ellis loves Michael, even openly for a time. Anne marries Ellis. She loves them both. Mabel and Dora love both the boys. Michael "loves" many boys.

For such a short read/listen, this was truly beautiful; complicated in the subject matter yet simple and concise in the telling.
