This book started off so well. Wonderful character development, storylines, and a lot of humor woven throughout. Then it got weird. We're reading another narrator's POV, being introduced to new characters and a new storyline unfolding. Then, back to Jane and the story just becomes more and more off the rails. I kept reading only for the satisfaction of seeing both stories meld and make sense. I never found it, and I still don't know the point of that detour, not to mention the sideways path about Paris and chemo... what the heck?!? I feel like I've wasted so much time for zero reward. 2-stars only because the beginning was so good.
