This short story follows Michele's (Gabriel's sister) POV and we get a glimpse into Gabriel's backstory and family life as well as seeing a bit more of Black/White Witches politics and dynamics.
There weren't enough pages for me to form a deep connection with Michele so I mostly liked this story because it let me see a bit more of Gabriel (who became my favorite character of Half Bad) and it helped me understand him better in the point he's at when Nathan first meets him.
I am really intrigued by the politics of this magic system and I really like the exploration of the Whites/Blacks conflicts so I can't wait to read more about that.
