The Dating Disaster
by Saxon James
“The Dating Disaster” by Saxon James was absolutely amazing! It was a joy reading it. Felix’s sass and Marshall’s sweetness was lovely!
I was happy to see these two characters from other series get their own book! Marshall and Felix have a disastrous first date. Felix enjoys sex and Marshall wants a deeper connection, so after what is perceived as a rejection on Felix’s part, the two end up skirting around one another. There’s a bit of misunderstanding on both sides. However, Marshall’s teddy bear tendencies and Felix’s firecracker antics draw the two together. Once Felix let’s his guard down and Marshall takes charge, their coupling is smoking hot! That said, there’s plenty of tenderness and humor to go around too.
Both guys have insecurities for different reasons, so it was really endearing as they slowly gravitate towards one another and accept the other without reservations. This book has a wonderful cast of characters! It was awesome seeing cameos of all kinds, including former and future Franklin U pairings! Felix meeting Marshall’s family was funny and touching. It was nice to see Robbie and Brandon again. Marshall meeting Felix’s Dad and Uncle Heath (lol) was hilarious! The epilogue being set 10 years into the future was a nice surprise!
Also, can I just saw that I completely guffawed at one of the fraternity acronyms mentioned in this book. This series is epic and I’m very much about to open up book 3!
