I guess this is a rather unpopular opinion but I don't really get the hype about this book. For one the setting was interesting but also a little weird and therefore unrealistic. It immediately remembered me of "The secret history" just vibe wise. This was unsettling because I DNFed it. I don't really like the characters but I would have loved to read more
about Oliver and James, I kinda like them together

Another thing is the dialogue stile (Alexander:"  "). It mostly consists of shakespearen re-enactments and is overall kinda underwhelming. First the "crime" plot falls flat and than gets rushed in the end with a reveal, a confession and an arrest. Even the end was kinda expected and some aspects I would love to have heard more about weren't explored any further.
I don't really get the time structure.
And a few question never get answered.
